HAMPSTEAD.

At the first meeting of the newly-elected members of the Hampstead Town Board, there were present — Messrs Andrews, Fawcett, A. Orr, Clark, Hunt and Elliot. Mr Fawcett was elected Chairman. Mr Orr was appointed Treasurer, and authorised to make financial arrangements with the Bank. Messrs Andrews, Hunt and Elliott were appointed a Works Committee, and the execution of various works was entrusted to them. It was resolved to strike a rate of Jd in the £ at the next meeting of the Board. A vote of thanks was accorded to Mr F. T. Mayo for his past services to the Board.
