Gallant —News reached town to-day that the reef had been cut in the tunnel, Nothing is yet known as to its width or quality, it only having , been met with when the messenger left the mine. In the meantime there is some speculation in the shares, which have advanced from about 3e to 3s 9d. Big Biver Extended—No fresh news has "been, received from this locality since Saturday, and shares continue somewhat depressed. Business is reported to-day in the share market, Keep-it-Dark and Alpines receiving a good deal of attention, the former at about 42s and the latter at 18s.
