RINKING.
There was a very good attendance Iμ* night at the Columbia Rink, despite the <bad weather. To-night, a novelty in ti» shape of a board race will take plMe, which is likely to prove very amusing. '".- At Mr Burnip's rink in the Kafspol Drill-hall on Wednesday evening ft veff amusing entertaiment in a wheelbarrow race was carried out in heats. There were nine entries. Each heat was watched with keen interest, and there were several eplllfc in fact the expected winner, from a* success in the early parts of the contest* came down heavily in his final rink. The winner was Mr A. Ironsides, second Mr A. C. Wilmot. On Saturday evening ft pow race is announced, confined to bors, in* next Wednesday a fancy dress canuw? No effort seems to be spared on W Burnip's part to, render the rink splKe of attraction both to skaters and visitor*.
