Messrs Matson and Co. report that they held their usual weekly sale of grain and dairy produce at their Canterbury Wool and Grain Stores on Saturday last. There was a very large attendance present, and with good competition we cleared the bulk of our entry,, which wa3 a very large one. Wheat—Prime Tuscan, 2s lOd to 3s; Hunter's, 2s 9d to 2s 10d; pearl, 2s 8d to 2s yd per bushel. Chickwheat—Account Mr Mclntosh,. a Hue of very broken, at Is IOd; account Mr Frisby, a line at 2s 2d, also a line at 2s per bushel -, account Trustees, a line at Is 9d; account Messrs Fisher and Goldsmith, a line at Is 10d per bushel. Oats—Prime milling 2s to 2s Id, good feed (Canadian) Is lOd to Is lid,, sparrow bills Is 9d to Is lid per bushel. Barley—Prime seed lots 3s to 4d per bushel; account Mr Crossly, a line at up to 3s per bushel; several lines feed samples at 2s to 2s 3d per bushel. Beans—Prime lot, 2s 7d to 2s 8d per bushel. Peas—Account Mr Pearson, a line of Blues at 3s per bushel; account Mr S. Lane, a large line of Partridge peas at 2s 9d per bushel, feed lots 2s to 2s 3d per bushel. Cocksfoot—Several small lines at 3d to 3|dperlb. Eye-grass—Better demand. Wβ sold about 130 sacks all sorts of prices up to 3s per bushel. Onions—£3 to £410s pet ton; not many offering. Carrots—2o tons at 14s per ton. Honey—3d to 4d per lb. Cheese—2Ad to 3d per lb ; dull of sale. Beeswax—Prime lots, 7d to Sd; inferior, 4d to 5d per lb. Potatoes—Several lines at £2 15s to £3 ncr ton, sacks included, delivery in our stores.
