CATHEDRAL SCHOOL.
The distribution of prizes in connection with this school took place on Thursday last. The Primate made the distribution, and addressed the boys, as also did the Very Bey. the Dean. The latter, in the course of his remarks, referred to the fact that Mr Merton, who had formerly been connected with the school, had been appointed to the Boys' High School. The following was the Prize List :— The Right Rev. the Primate's prize for good conduct in the choir, R. H. B. Upton. The Head-master's prize for good conduct in the house, T. E. T. Upton. Professor Cook's prizee for music—lst, L. C. Stanlord; 2nd, A. R. Gardner. School prize for music, G. March. Deawing, A. R. Gardner. Divinity—Fourthiorm (the Very Rev. the Dean'sprize), G. O. Jourdain; third form, F. Knight; second form, G. Bowen. Greek—Fourth form, G. March. Latin—Fourth form. A. R. Gardner; third form, R. M. Gardner; second form, L. Nicoll. French—Fourth form, G. March. English—Fourth form, T. E. Upton; third form. W. Weston; second form, A. Parker; first form, A. Bttnz. Mathematics—First division. T. E. T. Upton; second division, G. Weston; third division, J. Shead; fourth division, J. Guthrie; fifth division, R. M. Morten.
