Business Notices. SPECIAL NOTICE WARNING TO THE PUBLIC!!! TjS consequence of the Great Success achieved. JL aud Satisfaction given, by tho "Aurora" Combination Lamp-Stove, tbure aro now several Inferior Imitations of this Superior and Splendid Invention being offered to tho public, and sonic unprincipled persons, by EXHIBITING a sample of the "Aurora ' Lamp-Stove, are endeavoring to take Orders at a price less than the published price of £1, and then DELIVERING an article of un entirely different make to tho genuine thing. We therefore tind it, our duty to WARN THE PUBLIC against such a monstrous imposition, and remind them that the very fact of tho article bein>( offered for less money than tho printed and published price of £1 is a sufficient guarantee that the article so offered is not, ami could not bo. a GENUINE " AI: ROKA." This circumstance at once, and conclusively, proves that even those people who have these trumpery and inferior imitations to sell, themselves* acknowledge the vast superiority of the *" Aurora" over all other makes by the very fact of endeavouring to palm their article off, and trying to mislead people into the bolief that the so-called Lamp-Stove thoy offer IS an " Aurora." Thus they practically admit the " Aurora" to bo far superior ro their own make —else why this endeavor to mislead In order, therefore, that the public may protect themselves from being imposed upon in this way, and otherwise persuaded to buy an unsatisfactory article (simply becauso people have such for sale, or can make a better profit out of an inferior thing), it is of tho utmost importance they bear in uiiud the following facts: —Namely, that the words "Aurora LampStove "are cast in raised letters upon the iron fontorcwteni of each Lump, iv addition to tho one word " Aurora " being painted in largo gold, lotters, upon a red ground, in the front of the Lamp. Ibis name is registered, and persona applying it to makes other than the real article are liable to prosecution. Tho cistern of the " Aurora," which contains tho kerosene, is of solid C4ist iron, cast all in ono piece without scam or ioin; and where that portion of the cistern which receives tho \yick tube is curved upwards, there is nlso no join or seam at tho angle—the whole being still all in one piece. And, therefore, it is impossible the kerosene can ooze or evaporate through (as lamp stoves of an inferior aiukc are all certain to do, more or less), causing a very disagreeable odour, and certainly not fit to burn in a sleeping apartment, or to be used for cooking purposes. The "Aurora" gives positively NO SMELL and NO SMOKE. Doctors recommend it for the sick-room, and the most delicate dishes are now bciug cooked to perfection We therefore ask you not to be led astray by any misrepresentations, but to read carefully all the advantages which are claimed, and are daily being proved in favor of tho " Aurora," and wo feel satisfied you will come to the conclusion, without a moment's hesitation, that an article capable of achieving all Che "Aurora Combination Lamp Stove does, is certainly cheap enough at 20a, and worth (to any one using it for any purpose) double the money. "What is the good of an article bought for a few shillings les3S money if it does not give tho result in either light or heat expected, and onlycauses disappointment afterwards? If it will not give more than half tho amount of light and a fraction of the heat the "Aurora" does? If it will not give a light .sufficient to enable you to dispense with other lights in the room where this is being used? If it costs you a penny instead of ONE FARTHING per hour, and consumes four time& the- qnnritity of oil that the "Aurora" does? "Ir'it does not heut your irons quickly and sufficiently? If tho whole affair only lasts for a few months beforo being worn out—when the "Aurora" after once purchased will last for many years with constant use ? ~VVe ask again, what is tho use of such an article? And the natural answer is—Such an article, however pleasing; to the eye, when it is requirod for real useful sorvico, IS DEAR AT ANY PRICE. Do not waste your money by allowing yourself to be persuaded into buying a thing which must prove generally unsatisfactory afterwards; but insist upon having the "Aurora," and see for yourself the LampStove bears this name beforo you consent to receive it. Ycu will then be as intensely satisfied with your new purchase as your friend and neighbor is (who has had the "Aurora "in use and tested), and you will find it a real boon and a genuine comfort all through the not, trying weather now approaching; and then, when tho summer is over, it will be found a treasure of domestic convenience and handiness in the winter. The " Aurora" has never failed (wherever it has had a fair trial) to give perfect and entire satisfaction in all the hundred and ono different uses to which it is constantly being applied, and we are perpetually receiving unsolicited testimony of its great convenience and usefulness; and what a tremendous economieer of labor the " Aurora" Combination- Lampstove really is, and what an immeasurable amount of daily fatigue in the routine of household duty it saves! In conclusion, we have to thank the public for the very favorable reception which has been extended towards the " Aurora" since its first introduction here, and we will not presume to Suestion the intelligent discrimination of the anterbury public by further contending tho superior merits ot this article, but will merely ask them <if any doubt should exist in th"olr minds) to make a comparison for themselves, and conviction will follow as naturally as the the day follows the night, that the "Aurora Combination Lamp Stove/ stands practically ABOVE AND BEYOND COMPETITION t! Finally, there is still one more^—and this is a most important point—which it will always be well to remember. That the "Aurora," from its solid and substantial construction, is always PERFECTLY SAFE to use anywhere, and for any purpose, which, cannot be said of inferior imitations. Avoid disappointment and vexation to yourself, by purchasing at first tho original and genuine article, as you would assuredly only end in getting an " Aurora" (oven had you been inveigled into buying an imitation previously) after seeing the triumph and contentment that reigns supreme in the house of your neighbor where the " Aurora" is used, and burns like a beacon of light. Shedding light and heat, and diffusing a widespread feeling of contentment, goodwill, and good temper, throughout tho household, caused by the immense saving of trouble, labor, fatigue, and expense, which it effects!!! Positively the best and cheapest contrivance, to give both light and heat, eves invented. We are now supplying, properly constructed for the " Aurora, an Oven capable of roasting a joint of meat.
