NORTH QUEENSLAND INSURANCE COMPANY.
The second annual general meeting of the North Queensland Insurance Company (the local agents here of which are Messrs Kaye and Carter), was held at the registered office of the company, Bridge street, Sydney, on October 27th. Mr James Burns in the chair. The report submitted by the Directors shows that the total net premiums and interest received for the year amounted to £17,446 18s 9d. from which had to be deducted £502112s iOd, on account of losses, agency commissions, and other charges, leaving a net balance of £12,425 5s Hα to be dealt with. Of this, £1000 has been placed to the credit of policyholders' bonus fund, and from this sum policy-holders will receive a rebate of 10 per cent, on the amount of premiums paid fay them during the year; the amount of £10,000 has been placed to reserve fund, and a balance carried forward of £1425 5s lid. The manager, Mr C, Danvers, was highly complimented by the meeting for the care and success of his management, and a bonus in addition to his salary was unanimously accorded to him. Mr A. R. Troup was re-tilected as auditor.
