LANCASTER PARK TROTTING CLUB.

SUMMER MEETING,

Satotujay, November 5,

Steward-, Messrs S. P Andrews, J. B. Gresson F. Jones, A. M. Ollivier, H. H. Prins, C. J. Pen-old. W Ji. Pcrc-val, A. B. G. Rhodes, W. B. Scott. R. D. Thomas. A. C. Wilson, C. H. Williams; Judge, J. li. Gresson; SUtrt r, C. A. Calvert; h_ndicapp.rs, the Handicapping Committee; Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, A, M. Ollivier. Saturday waa such a dull day in the forenoon that the most sanguine of the Lancaster Park Trotting Club officials could hardly have ventured to prophesy that the Summer meeting would be a success, still less that it would result in the triumphant manner in which it did. The attendance, however, turned out to be large, and tho amount of money that passed through the machine made even the promoters of the meeting stare. The racing itself was good of the class, and the officials were careful to enforce punctuality in fretting the different events off, and also in insisting that the various riders and drivers should come to scales properly costumed. Everything went off without a hitch, and Mr A. M. Ollivier must have had a contented mind when the last nice was over. Mr K. Richardson ran tho refreshment part of tho show in a very thorough manner, and I hope was well patronised. Messrs Hobbs and Goodwin were kept busy right from the jump, and succeeded in passing £270. through the machine..
