Mails close for the following places as under (subject to the necessary alterations) :— MONDAY, NOVEMBEB 7. For Northern Ports and Westport, per Mahinapua, at 12.30 p.m. : late fee letters, 12.45 p.m.; guard's van, 1.25 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Coptic, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Westport, per Wareatea, at 3.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Napier, per Balmoral Castle, at 3.20 p.m.;late fee letters, 330 p.m.; guards van, 4 p.m. train. Note.—Wednesday, the 9th inst. (the Prince of Wales* Birthday), will be a close holiday. ' Mails usually despatched on that day will be closed on Tuesday evening, the Bth inst,, at 8 p.m. Correspondence usually delivered by letter-carriers may be obtained on application at the debvery-eounteif from 9 till 10 p.m. on | Tuesday evening.
