The complications which have arisen in. respect to the license for an hotel at West Tamaki came before the Licensing Court at Panmure yesterday. Mr Cooper, who appeared for the objectors, opposed the granting of the license on the grounds that the town of Panmure wan nob wifchirt any licensing district, and the Committee were acting without jurisdiction; that notices of application were given in thy district callud Panmure and West Tamaki licensing district, and there was m> such district; that no local option poll had been taken at West Tamaki district, iv which the house was situated, in 18H2 or 1885. Mr Cotter, for the applicant, recognised the weighty nature of Mr Coopers objections, and as they affected not only the present application, but all liouhch in Panmure. lie applied for an adjournment, which was granted.
