FORESTERS’ FLOWER SHOW.
The January show in conneetion with the Juvenile Foresters’ Horticultural Society waa opened in the Foresters' Hall, Oxford terrace, yesterday. Excepting in pot plants and vegetables the classes were not so well filled as might have baen expected. Nevertheless the exhibits, as a whole, were good, the vegetables being especially so. The cut flowers and bou {nets were also creditable. For exhibition only, Messrs W. Norman, H. Crook.-, and Gray (gardener to Messrs Duncan and Sou), F. C. East and Bides sent collections of pot plants, which helped materially to make the 6how attractive. Miss Searell and Messrs Brooks, Wade, Percy, and Rodgers, Jackson, Guntrip, and Line were also extra exhibitors. The Art Union prizes, which consisted of a lumber of ixcellent pot plants, pieces of plated ware, and ÜBefnl articles of various descriptions, were drawn for and distributed in the evening. There waa then a good attendance of spectators, and a capital programme of vocal and instrumental {elections was carried out by Mrs E. Long and her pupils.
