THE MAGDALENE ASYLUM.
The ceremony of laying the foundation stone of this institution takes place today. At 9 a.m. 800 school children hold their picnic at "Mount Magdala," and in procession meet his Eminence upon his arrival there at 3 p.m., when he proceeds to bless and lay the foundation stone. His Eminence will address the assemblage, and probably other gentlemen will have a few words to say concerning the inauguration of this new work.
