PRESBYTERIANISM.
At Pigeon Bay, ou the 4th inst., tlioßev. Donald McLennan was inducted to the Peninsula charge in connection with tho ' Presbyterian Church. The Eev. W. Dinwiddle, L.L.8., preached an able j-nd appropriate sermon. The Kcv. J. Hul conducted the induction rervice, end tbe Rev. W. West addressed tho minister and ■ the congregation. In the evening;» soiree was held which was only moderately ' attended, on account of tlw severity of the weather. Addresses were delivered by t— ministers present, and musical pieces were efficiently rendered by a choir i—di-rUse-leadership of Mr Pitcaithly. On the WWing foUowing a soiree was held ia tbu Odafellows' HaU, Akarca. Iv the courte of his remarks, Mr Six* Btated that at the beginning of the vac**? in May, 1884, there had been a debt or ,£SOO on the charge; but that during *« year there had been a reduction to the er, tent of nearly £100, leaving the debt M , present about .£IOO. $ -, The Rev.
