[PBESS ASSOCIATION TBLEOB—M.J TIMARU, April 29. At a meeting of the coursing men held this evening several representatives from a longdistance expressed their views as to the desirability of holding a Grand Champion Open Meeting in South Canterbury in June next, under the auspices of the South Canterbury Club. It was resolved that a Thirty-two Dog Stake of JBIO 103 each be run, and be open to aU comers. Great interest was taken in the matter, and a special meeting of the Club wfll be held for the purpose of receiving nominations early in May. The opinion was expressed by many that there was to be found in this district land which was not to be surpassed by even a Plumpton Ground for coursing purposes. •
