McCallum, who bad discharged a doable-barrelled gun seVeral times on his property on Sneyd street, on April Ist, bo as to alarm his neighbors, was fined, under the Police Offences Act, 20b and costs. Education Act.—/.Salomon, a Maori, was charged with disobeying an order of the Resident Magistrate in not sending two children, to the school. Defendant's wife pleaded tire distance was over two miles. Adjourned. Mrs Smith, guardian of a child named Nesbit, was charged with not sending the **iM to school. Sheetated his father was in town. Cafe dismissed, the parent to be gammoned. In the cases
of J. Byron end -W. Dickie, orders were made that the children must attend school. In a cate of D. McEore, a> medical certificate wm produced that the child ns too ffl to attend, and the case was withdrawn.

It wae oltimately agreed to accept judgment for .47 9a 4a, the matter in dispute being £3 in lieu of notice of leaving defendant's service. -
