DUNEDIN YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION.

fpBESS ASSOCIATION TBUaRAK/J DUNEDIN, February 8. The annual report of the Young Men's Christian Association is of a rather dolorous character. The Association is solvent, but the funds are not prosperous. The income about meets expenses, but previous liabilities are not decreasing. Some of the branches of the work undertaken by the Association are flourishing, such as the mimic parliament, singing olasses, Aα, but not those branches peculiarly within the sphere of the Association, such as the Monday morning prayer meetings, which, after lingering for months in a declining way, haTe had to be etopped. The Sabbath morning prayer meeting, has also had to be stopped, likewise the youths' mission, to continue which was found impossible, owing to a lack of persons to take control, though the youtha were f «und willing to.attend. She Board of Management have now appointed Mr White, of Christchurch, General Secretary, and it is hoped increased animation will be the result.
