Lord and Lady Lansdowne, it is said, are in the habit of .walking in the streets of Ottawa quite unattended. At a meeting held at Quebec of the Quebec branch of the Irish League, attention was drawn, to the telegrams which had appeared m American and English newspapers regarding the supposed discovery of a dynamite plot to murder Lord Lansdowne. Tho reportß were todjEgnantly denounced by the meeting. as .unwarranted calumnies, upon the Irish race.
