The Customs duties collected at Christehurch on Thursday, NovembergSJth, were as follows:—Spirits, 4.187 8s 10d: tobacco, __? 3_ £.; cigars, 3s; wine, -818; beer, £6 sa; sugar, .£lO7 3s _d '"_ tea, £48 10s ; goods by weight, 4536 10s €d; _d valorem, £121 6s-, other duties, £12 _4d. Total, J£S4-_s2d.
' Advices received yesterday from Sydney per Hauroto, dated 32nd inst., report - freights on wool by steamer are five-eighths of a penny per pound for greasy, and three farthings for washed, and that in a week or so an extra eighth wiU be asked. Sailing vessels are at present idle, the demand being aU for steam. Tonnage is not over plentiful.
