i The polling for the election of a representative of the above district in the General Aeaembly took place yesterday, and the ifriends of each of the candidates worked Sheartily on their behalf. At five minutes bast eight the numbers polled for each candimate were ascertained to be as under:— F Knights- Stan- Phillips. I town. more. town. W From about half-past six an orderly crowd ijunmenced lo gather aronnd the central Isolling place anrions to learn the result, frhioh was received with uproariouß cheering. ® The poll will be officially deolared at 10 km. on Friday next at the Stanmore road fehool house.
