On Saturday, Messrs R Coup, 1C i, Hiatt, Isaac Wilson, J. Lowthian Wilwa, and B. M. Wright were nominated asddc> olared eleoted members of the Lioensiß| Commitee for thia district. There was very little interest shown in the proceedings, astbe only ratepayers of the diitrict present a! the nomination happened to be Mr WhitofofflS, the returning officer, who, of oourse, oooli take no pftrt in the proceedings beyond the scope of his official duties. One of ti» elected membern was preeo&t, and briefly aa> turned thanks.
