The match between the TJ.0.0. and Lansaiter Park Clubs was continued on Saturday, >n the Hagley Park ground. When stumps were drawn on the previous Saturday the itate of affaire looked bad for the TJ.0.0., for Lancaster Park had made 162 runs in its first innings, while the TJ.0.0. had lost four rickets for only 48. On resuming, however, he U. 0.0. began to pick up, and finally their [ret innings concluded for 126, being 36 lehind their adversaries. The Lancaster Park, in their second innings, at first made a letermined stand, Beeves and Millton, in paricular, proving difficult to dispose of. lowever, Ashby at last pot on the slows, and he effeot was miraculous. Malet was caught lmost immediately. Stevens followed, and he innings olosed for the comparatively small core of 94. The principal scorers on Saturay were—For the U.0.G., Easton 15, Mainraring 26, Chapman 19, Hartland 11. For he Lanoaster Park, Millton 11, Beeves 30, Gliding 10, and Macdonald 18. The match rill be concluded next Saturday, when the J. 0.0. take the wickets with 131 runs to win. On their own ground the Midland continued lie Club match of the Eleven against the ezt Eighteen. The former on the previous aturdey had put together 128 in its first inings, and the Eighteen resumed the willow n Saturday. To call them an eighteen was, owever, more or less of a figure of speech, ecause they in reality numbered twenty-two r twenty-three. Numbers beget confidence, ad they were not disposed of until they had an up 151 for the first innings. The Eleven ere in when the stamps were drawn. On the Hagley Park ground a lively matoh stween gentlemen connected with Messrs liles and Co. and Messrs Wilkin and Co. une off. Wilkin and Co. led off with a jore of 63 for first innings, Miles and 00. allowing with only 31. Wilkin and 00. then went in and scored 76, and the matoh looked a moral for them. But the glorious uncertainty of orioket now was exemplified. Miles and 00. rallied round the old flag, and pulled off the match with the lots of only two wickets. To effect this Sharpe bad to score 49, Aynsley 23, and Glen 29 not out. For Wilkin and 00. the principal scorers in the two innings were McKellar 24, Griffith 13 and 17, Wilkin 15, and McOlatchie 16. The fielding throughout the match was loose but vigorous. At the Lanoaster Park ground, the match between the Seoond Eleven of the U 0.0. and Lancaster Park Clubs was concluded. Aβ will be seen, the former Olub had the best of the first innings by 6 runs, while in the second they ran up the large total of 271 with the the loss of seven wickets, principally owing to the score of B. D. Harman, who put together upwards of a oentury. This is the second oentury made this season. TJ.C.C. First Inninga. Second Innings , . E.
