[bettteb's telegbams.l MELBOURNE, December 10. Sailed, this afternoen, Alhambra, for the Bluff. Arrived, this evening, P. and O. Company's steamship Carthage, with the Suez mail dated London, November 4th. SYDNEY, December 10. The cricket match between the English J team and Eleven of New South Wales was continued to-day at Moore park. The attendance was very large, and great interest was taken in the contest. The Englishmen resumed their first innings, which closed for 272, Barlow being bowed for 75, and Scotton bowled for 25. The play of the visitors was much admired. The New Sotzth Wales Eleven went in for their first innings, and when the stamps were drawn for the day they had put together 164 for the loss of three wickets. The fielding of the Englishmen was very good.
