The regular monthly meeting took place at the Board's office, Baleairn, on Friday, the let July. Present—Messrs Enior (chairman), Bruere, Coleman, Bristow, and Mathers. Boyce to t>e written to to remove any obstruction caused by him to the natural watercourses. From Mr Broad* foot, asking for repairs to ditohes. Surveyor to attend to it. From Mr Mather, complain* ing of the want of communication between Cameron's corner and the island. Surveyor authorised to expend £5 apon it. From Benn end Co., re erecting yards for pound. Offer not acceded to. From agent Union Bank, Sefton, returning bonds. Surveyor was instructed to obtain blank deposit forms as soon as possible. The thanks of the Board were voted to Mr A. McDonald for his valuable suggestion re constructing pipes out of concrete. From Mr Oroft, complaining of stagnant water under oulvert near his house. Surveyor to see it attended to. From Mr Brodie, conveying his offer re purchase of road diversion near hie home. Resolved that the matter stand over until Monday, 11th insfc. The surveyor was instructed to apply to Mr Helmore for back rates as agent for I" r Kennaway. Instructions were gives to cue for all outstanding rates. Gorge—Those who have been served with notices and failed to comply within the month, given to be considered on Monday, 11th met. Ashley Boundary — Tracing from Chief Surveyor to be acknowledged. Dick's road—'The surveyor and Messrs Mathers and Hanna to visit and ascertain requirements. Mr Gorrie, contractor, to be written to to proceed with his contract for widening O'Neil's embankment at once. Cornell's corner, Terrace road—Culvert to be made safe either by extra filling or fencing. The drainage opposite Mr Luton's, Amberley, to be attended to. McNamara's culvert to be repaired. Messrs MoNaught and Lough's subscription towards cleaning out raoe course ditches to be acknowledged, aud the work done by tender. Stone crossings at Amos and Greeney's to be constructed. Messrs Staoe, Gibb, and McLean to be written to requesting them to dear out their part of the drain, Loithfield. The railway authorities to be written to re stoppage of water at the bridge, half-way between Sefton and Baloairn. The pay sheet, £172 15s lid, was passed. The receipts were £66 12j 9d.
