RANGIORA AND MANDEVILLE.
The monthly meeting was held on Friday. ■ Present —Messrs Parsons (chairman), Sansom, ! Duncan, Edwards, Stalker. Letters were read from MandeviUe Drainage Board, requesting the Board to levy a rate of 6d in the £ on the portion of their district included in the said district. It was resolved that the rate be struck and collected as asked for. From Mr B. Bailey, asking permission to pat a fence and gate across Iven'n road, Woodend. The Boardfdecided it could not interfere. It wsb resolved to write to the Bailway Department respecting gorge on a portion of Boys' direct Bangiora road. The bridge on the Maori reserves it was decided should be repaired. The surveyor was desired to report on cost of a footpath on the old North road leading to the Kaiapoi Woollen Factory. Notice was ordered to be given of the annual meeting and the retirement of Messrs Parsons, Edwards, and Stalker., Tenders for various works were considered, and accounts amounting to £85 2s 9d pasted for payment.
