MANDEVILLE AND RANGIORA.
This .Board met on Friday. Present— Captain Parsons (chairman), Messrs Sansom, Edwards, and Stalker. Letters were read from Secretary for Public Works reepeoting Public Works Act, 1880, affecting closing of roads. From Mr J. C. Boys, offering half cost; of clearing gorse on Kaiapoi and Aehlny roa c. Ifc was decided the request could not be agreed to. It was decided that proceedings be taken against persons gorse to grow on roads on wbioh their sections abut. Mr Isaac Wilson, on behalf of the Elaiapoi Woollen Company, asked that the road between the factory and the rivar be closed. Agreed to. It was decided to pay the share of Dobson and Son's report on the Waimakeriri in conjunction with the Drainage Board. Accounts, £117 17s 3d, were passed.
