The s.s. Bingarooma, Captain Chatfleld, arrived at 3.15 p.m. yesterday, from Melbonrne, via Bluff aad Port Chalmers. Her report to Bluff was published iv the shipping telegrams of the 16th. From Port Chalmers a strong haul wind was experienced up to arrival. She sailed for Sydney, via northern ports, at 7.45 p.m. The s.s. Taiaroa, Captain Holmes, arrived yesterday in company with the Bingarooma. She left Wellington at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, and had a strong northerly wind down. Sailed for Timaru and Port Chalmers at 5.30 p.m-

She left Wellington at 2.45 p.m. on Monday, and in crossing the Straits had a strong S.E. wind, with confused sea. At 10 p.m. was oil Cape Campbell, with the wind increased to half a gale. Steamed on until midnight, hut the wind increasing in force returned to Cape Campbell. Left at 5 a.m. on "Wednesday. No injury resulted to the horses or animals in consequence of the bad weather. The Oreti left for Timaru at 6 p.m.
