A sale of Government reserves was held at Messrs Bullock and Co."s, East street. Ashburton, yesterday, Mr Joseph Besirick acting as auctioneer for iha Government. There was a very large attendance, the room being full, and some of the prices reached were very Urge. Lot 1 realised £23 <s per acre; lot 2, £16;lot4, £5; lot 5. £5; lot 7,£5} lot 13, £S ; lot 32, £310s; lot 23; £3103; lot 24. £310s; lot 25, £5; 10t27, £5 ; lot 2S. £5 5j ;lot3o. £3 10; lot SI, £310s slot 32, £618s Gd; Deferred payments—lot 3. £U W>s per acre; lot 6, £9; lot 11. £9; lot 14, £7 10s ; lot 16. £6 10s: lot 21, £7 ; lot 26, £1010s; lot 29, £6; lot 33, £1510s. The whole sale realised _7_19 lis 2d.
