ARRIVAL OF THE ISAAC HALL.
An American, barqne, the Isaac Hall, made the harbor yesterday morning, from Hew York. : She has been 129 days on t£e passage, serenteen of which hare been spent on the coast. Her cargo is made up of the usual variety of American wares, and is coasigaed to Lyttelton and Wellington in about equal proportions. There is, in all, between 1100 and 1208 tons of it. In the Lyttelton portion there are between 3000 and 4000 cases of kerosene oil. Captain Adams, in command, reports that he put into Port Underwood to avoid drifting before the light southerly airs back through Cook's Straits. He remained there from Sunday to last Thursday. The barque Australian Sovereign, bound from Newcastle here, was also at Port Underwood, and the Ware of Life, whose arrival here was simultaneous with the Isaac Hall's yesterday. Of the vessel and her passage Captain Adams states that she left New York December 19th, experienced heavy weather on the coast, and met with poor N.E. trades. Crossed the Equator January 21st days out, previously picking np the B.E. trades in 1 N. They were o£ fair j strength, aad carried the barqne to 26 S. The preI vailing winds* from there to 38 S. were southerly. : The westerlies were good, and continued to makiag 156 E., on the 46th parailßl. The first land made was Cape Foulwina, on the 10th inst., since which light baffling winds were met with. The Godley Head light was made at 2 a.m. yesterday, and at 11 a.m. she anchored in the bay. The Isaac Hall was built in 1870. at Stockton, Maine, and is owned by J. H. Winchester at.d Co., New York. :
