Courage, Esqrs.] Bbbaoh os Pubuo Woeks Aot.—Thomas Johnston, charged by the polioe with allowing six head of cattle to stray en the railway line on the 6th March instant t fined 80s and costs. Same v sams, charged with allowing two head to stray en the railway line on the 24th day of February ; fined 20s and costs, with a caution that shoald the aocused be charged with any similar offenoe in future heavy penalties would be imposed. Mr Duncan prosecuted on behalf of the railway authorities. Citil Casus. —Bean and Co. v'B. Smith, claim £11 7s 6d for share of dividing fence. This case was again adjourned to April the 10th,- being the third time adjourned. D. and D. Cameron v William Frew, judgment summons £9 16s 7d; ordered to pay £2 on April the 3rd. balance at the rate of 20s per week, or in default one month's imprisonment. Same v William Dalsell, claim £11 7s 63 j adjourned to April the 10th. Kowai Boad Board t William Wilson, claim £6 16s 3d for rates due for 1877 and 1873; judgment for amount claimed. J. Watson v J. Thomas, claim £2 8s ; judgment by default., J. White.-.and Co. y T. W, Peacock, judgment summons £1117* 8d -ordered to pay amount by instalments* of 20s per week, in default one month's imprisonment. : -
