PAPANUI SCHOOL.

The annual treat took place on Thursday last in a paddock kindly lent by Mr Derritt. The children assembled about XI o'clock, and were supplied with buns and ginger beer, after whls&ibeyTrere amnied in various ways till l&aL, when they had a substantial luncheon. The" afternoon was spent in. racing and jumphf fcr prizes, and a variety of sports, which *w» resumed af£*r tea. The committee were *Bon the ground and did their utmost to s£>rd amusement. In the afternoon a great samber of the ■parents and friends were present, and had tea.
