Supplementary maile for the United Kingdom via Southampton and Brindiai, will close this day, Jaunary 17th. at 7.30 a.m., for despatch overland per express train to connect with mail steamer at Port Chalmers. For Weliiagton, Westport, Greymonth, and Hokitika, per Star of the South, at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.35 p.m.; late letter box, guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Kaikonra and "Wellington, per Tni, at 4.45 p.m. Late letter box, gnxurd's van, must not be used foic Tni's mails. S\TUBDAY, JANUAET 18. Pot Chatham Islands, per Island Lily, at 11 a.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom will close at Christchnrch on January 31st, and will be due in London on March 18th.
