Tuesday, Jasuaby 15. [Before A. H. Cunningham and S. Hey wood, E*qs.] Public Horse Oedikastcr.— J. West, licensee of the Rangiora Boarding House, was charged with keeping his house open for the sale of wine and beer during prohibited hours on January 13th, and also for supplying liquor without refreshment. The offence was admitted. Sergeant Pratt Btated that on Sunday evening he entered the house by the back door, and found eeven persons in the sitting room, four of whom stated they were lodger*, and the other three were resident* in the town. They had two full and one half glasses of beer on the table, and one of the strangers to the hoc* •■ was drinkirg a pint, of beer. There were no refreshments on the table.
