POST OFFICE NOTICES.

Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to neceseary alterations: — For the Northern Provinces of New Zealand, per s.s. Rangatira, on Thursday, the 12th instant, at 4 p.m. For Dunedin, per the s.s. Ladybird, on Thursday, the 12th, at 11.30 a.m. For Akaroa, Timaru, and Port Chalmers, per Beautiful Star, on Thursday, the 12th, at 4.30 p.m. For Akaroa, Timaru, Oamaru, and Dnnedin, per Comerang, this day, at 9.30 a.m. For Wellington, Nelson, and the Australian Colonies, per Omeo, this day, at 9.30 a.m.

A Post-office has been established in Colombo street south, opposite Cattle Show Grounds. Mails will be dispatched daily at 8 a.m., and arrive daily at 11 a.m. J. J. FitzGibbon, Chief Postmaster.
