Melbourne, March 3—Between 600 and 700 tone Victoria Company's sugars were sold at a slight decline ; Tasmanian hops are quoted at Is 9d, the crop is likely to he short this year : maize, 6s 6d ; candles, 1500 boxes sold at a slight advance upon late rates : wheat, 6s 6d to 6s 9d ; oateu hay is firm. Sales of kerosene oil show at a slight improvement. Adelaide, March 2—Wheat is firm at 6s IJd ; 80,000 bushels, in one parcel, sold at 6s l£d ; country flour, £13 15s to £14. Alexandra, March 11. Large quantities of wheat have arrived here these last two days, for the purchase of which there has been great competition among the storekeepers. Tawhiao's infant daughter is dangerously ill, and a messenger has been sent down for medicine. Wellington, March 11. The fender of Messrs Gavin and Co,, for the Waitaki bridge, has been accepted at £31,255. Eleven hundred and fifty immigrants are due at Wellington during the next six weeks.
