The auctioneers are directed by Dr Webster to etate that his sole reason for disposing of his stud flock is in consequence of having sold the Corriedale Estate, where these sheep have been kept, and that they will be offered for bona Mc sale in numbers to suit every class of purchaser. The above sheep are all guaranteed purebred, being either imported or the progeny of rams and ewes imported direct from the most celebrated breeders in Kent and Suffolk. The superiority of these sheep for quality of wool, size of carcase, and soundness of constitution, has been so fully established at all the show yards in New Zealand (where they have always gained first prizes, and commanded the highest prices given for longwoolled sheep), further comment as to their character is quite unnecessary. The auctioneers would, therefore, simply invite all intending purchasers to inspect the sheep prior to the sale, and judge for themselves. Terms very liberal.
