Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations:— For the Northern Provinces of New Zealand, per tbe s.s. Lady "Bird, on Thursday, 17th instant, at 2 p.m. For the Australian colonies, also Wellington and Nelson, per the s.s. Albion, on or about Saturday, 19th instant. Hour of closing in a future notice. For Dunedin and intermediate ports, per the s.s. Beautiful Star, on or about Friday, 18th instant, at 9.45 a.m. P. E. Wright, Chief Postmaster.
