Tenders. NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. RACECOURSE TO SOUTHBRIDGE. Public Works office, Wellington, 15th March, 1873. WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this office up to 4 p.m.. on Thursday 17th April, 1873, for CONSTRUCTION of RACECOURSE to SELWYN RIVER Contract of the above RAILWAY. They must be addressed to the Minister for Public Works, and marked outside "Tender for Railway, Racecourse to Selwyn River." Plans and specifications may be seen at the Public Works office, Wellington and Christchurch. Telegraphic tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received, if presented at any telegraph office by noon of the same date, provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at the office of the District Engineer, at Christchurch, by the above hour. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. TOKOMAIRIRO AND LAWRENCE. TENDERS are invited by the Colonial Government for the construction of Railway between Tokomairiro and Lawrence —a distance of twenty-two miles. The line iB divided into five sections, and tenders will be received for any one of them, or for the whole railway in one contract. Drawings and specifications may be seen at the Public Works offices, Dunedin and Wellington, on and after Monday, the 21st instant. Written tenders, addressed to the Minister for Public Works, and marked outside, " Tender for the Tokomairiro and Lawrence Railway;" or, "Tender for tbe Contract of the Tokomairiro and Lawrence Railway " —will be received at this office up till 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the 21st May, 1873. THE BOARD OF CONSERVATORS of the South Waimakariri District invite OFFERS for the SUPPLY of the undermentioned TIMBER, delivered at the Templeton Railway Station, freight paid, viz.:— 84—14 ft 6x3") 24—18 ft 6x3 84—12 ft 4x 3 V V.D.L. 84—10 ft 4x3 24—24 ft 4x 3 J 600 —12ft 8 x 1, red pine 1200 feet suprl. Bxl, any long lengths I Also, a quantity exactly the same in number and length as the above delivered at the Christchurch Railway station. The whole of the timber is to be sound and of good quality, and cut to the full dimensions, and to be delivered at the abovementioned places by the day of 1873. (3) Construction of a Cart Bridge across the mouth of the Styx river, opposite to Mr King's land. (4) Cutting Drains near to the above, on road leading to the bridge, kc. — about 70 chains. (5) Clearing about 130 Chains of the continuation of St Albaus drain, from Flint's to Rhodes' road. (6) Forming a Footpath on the Springfield road, from Mr Gould's to Mr Maling's—about 40 chains.
