A MEMORIAL having been presents to the Board of Education from a c 0?. siderable portion of the inhabitants of the Kowai Bush District, as hereinafter d«. scribed, praying for the formation of the locality into a separate Educational District I hereby give notice, in accordance with tha provisions of the Education Ordinance, 1871 aud Amendment Ordinance, 1872, that d PUBLIC MEETING of the householders in the locality will be held on THURSDAY the 27th INSTANT, at 7 p.m., in Mr Wales' House, Kowai Bueh Flat. The following are the proposed bound, aries:— Commencing at the junction of tho Rivers Kowai and Waiinakariri ; thecco westerly along the Kowai to tha Biver Rubicon ; thence north-westerly up the said River Rubicon to the summit of Mount Torlesse; thence easterly along tho summit of the Hilla to tho Waimakariri : thence southerly along the River Wairaakariri to the storting point.
