High water at Lyttelton for the month of February, 1873 :— Date. am. p.m. 3 ... 9.17 ... 9.40
The s.s. Maori, Captain Sinclair, arrived in harbor yesterday afternoon at 3.46, from Dunedin via intermediate ports. She left Dunedin at 6 p.m on Friday ; cleared tbe heads at 7.30 p.m ; arrived at Timaru on Saturday at 5 a.m : left at 6 p.m for Akaroa, and arrived there yesterday morning at 8.30 a_n; left for Lyttelton at 11.30, a.m. arriving as above. Sails for Southern ports this day. The Taranaki, s.s, Captain Wheeler, arrived in harbor yesterday, at 1 30 p.m, from Dunedin, bringing the Otago team of cricketers for the approaching interprovincial match, together with a large number of saloon and steerage passengers. She left Port .Chalmers at six p.m on Saturday, and experienced strong southerly winds during the voyage. She sails for Northern ports this day. We have to thank the purser for files.
