TIMAETj.—The Herald of the 15th reports: —Quotations for grain are unaltered, as follows: —Wheat, 3s 9d; oats, Is 8d; barley. 3s 9d; flour, £11 for cash, and £11 10s on terms. In grain business is dull, farmers holding for higher rates; but while the bulk in store awaiting shipmeut is so large, but little hopes of an advance can be entertained. The Temuka correspondent of the Thnaru Gazette writes:—The weather cannot be said to be particularly unfavorable to the farmers, still it is not quite desirable for the threshing that is going, on in the district; but as proper precaution has been taken to properly secure the stacks by thatching, nothing very detrimental cau occur. Several transactions in grain have taken place chiefly by sample, Mr Mendelson alone having purchased about 50,000 bushels.

Oamaku.—The Timet of the 12th reports : Wheat is coming in very freely, but the demand appears to be equal to the supply and price for best milling remains stationary at the rate quoted in our last, viz., 4s. Oats are at Is 8d to Is 9d, demand slack. Barley, fit for malting, 3s 9d to 4s, in short supply. Flour, £11 10s to £12 10s. Oatmeal, £13. Pollard and bran, as last quoted. Potatoes, £5.
