The City Council has interviewed the Superintendent witb a request that tbe Government should purchase Fern Hill as a Gubernatorial residence. Wellington, Dec. 9. Tbe body of a woman of the town, named Hjabeth Harrison, was found ia the harbor.
At the inquest, a verdict of " Found Drowned " was returned. Colonel Mdule has been appointed Commissioner of Constabulary.
