I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that in pursuance of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, Section 113,1 appoint FRIDAY, the Bth of DECEMBER NEXT, for the purpose of ELECTING one person, being duly qualified to act as a COUNCILLOR for the Borough of Kaiapoi, to fill an extraordinary vacancy caused by the resignation of William Burnip. In pursuance of Section 83 of the said Act, I require all candidates at such election to be nominated at the Couucil Chamber within the Borough aforesaid, on Monday, the 20th day of this instant November, at the hour of noon.
