The barque Natal Queen arrived in harbour last evening from Hobart Town, she brings a cargo of timber, aud is consigned to Mr H. Hawkins. The s.s. Ahuriri, Captain M'Kinuon, arrived in harbor yesterday at 1.15 p.m. from Dunedin via intermediate ports. She left Dunedin wharf on Thursday at midnight, and cleared Port Chalmers Heads at 4 a.m. ; arrived at Oarnaru at 9 a.m., and sailed at 10 a.m.; arrived at Timaru at 3 p.m., and sailed at 7.30 p.m.; arrived at Akaroa at 7 am. on Friday, left at 8.30 a.m. She sails for Northern ports this day at 3 p.m. The s.s. Beautiful Star arrived in harbour yesterday at 1 p.m. from Dunedin via intermediate ports. She sails on her return trip on Sunday at 11 a.m. Tlie date of sailing of s.s. Maori has been altered ; she leaves at 1 p.m. this day for Wellington and Napier. The barque Velocidade, Captain Ifwersen, arrived in harbor yesterday from Newcastle, she left that port on October 2Sth, experienced light S.E. winds until 2nd instant. and then strong N.E. and N.N.E. until the morning of the 7th, when, off Kapiti, the wind chopped round to the S.E., blowing bard with heavy rain and thick weather; bore up for Guard's Bay, and anchored. Got under weigh at 3 p.m. on the Bth with moderate breeze from N.N.E. : at 7 p.m. passed the Brothers, and had strong W.N. W. gale down the coast. She brings a cargo of coal consigned to Messrs Montgomery and Co.
