The Tanranga, schooner, brings the following news from Auckland :—Harley, charged under the Arms Act, has been found guilty. Sentence has been deferred. Chief Justice Amey has raised a point of law which "will materially affect the present and-other cases under the Anns Act, viz., whether the prisoner could be convicted under the indictment, as the Act of 1866 had been repealed, and no revival of the section of the Act of 1860, as it originally stood has been made. The points reserved for the decision of the next Appeal Court. The Caledonian Gold-mining Company held a meeting on Saturday last, and declared a dividend for the last fortnight of £12 a share.
