THE objects aimed at by this Associatoin are the preparation of the Phormium Tenax in a more marketable state than has utherto been attained, and the prosecution of i series of carefully conducted experiments vith a view to discover the best method by vhich the fibre can be rendered more fit for nanufacturing purposes. The Committee invite the co-operation of dl parties interested in the growth and promotion of flax, in furthering the objects of he Association, the importance of which, to he welfare of this province, and to New Zeaand generally, cannot be over-estimated ; it s therefore, with the utmost confidence, they .ppeal to all classes of the community to issist their efforts with liberality.
