Mails for Timaru, Otago, and Southland will close at 145 pm on Friday, 29th inst. Mails close for Northern Provinces of New Zealand at 1 30 p m on Friday, 29th inst. As the Omeo will probably not leave Hokitika till Sunday, correspondence for the Australian colonies may be posted till 6 pm on the 28th instant, and with late fee till sam on the 29th. Should the Lord Ashley remain in Port sufficiently long, supplementary mails will be made up ut 11 30 a in. ENGLISH MAIL VIA SAN FHANCISCO. Mnils will close at the Chief Post-office, Christchurch, aa under : — For the United Kingdom. Continent of Europe, America, and the West Indieu on Friday, 29th instant, at 115 p in. For money orders on Friday, 29th instant, at 10 a tn. For reijiatration of letters pt 10 30 a m on Friday, 29th instant. For newspapers at 11 am on Friday, 29th instant.
