IN Pursuance of the Provisions of the Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858, and of another Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled The Provincial Elections Act, 1858, I, William Donald, Returning Officer for the Provincial Electoral District of Port Victoria, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the twenty-fifth day of March, 1870, issued under the hand of Hie Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an ELECTION will be held for the return of One qualified Person to serve as a MEMBER of the Provincial Council of Canterbury for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at the residence of 0.
