Government Notices; PUBLIC NOTICE. * THEREBY GIVE NOTICE, pursuant to clause VI of "The Canterbury Waste Lands Act, 1866," that an application has been lodged in the Land Office, Christchurch, by Messrs Foster and Moore, as holders of Pasturage Licenses, Nos. 241, Class 3, and 163, Class 2, to have the said licenses can- -j celled, and a new license issued to them j by the Waste Lands Board, which shall comprise, all tho lands hitherto held under the , aforesaid two licenses, in accordance with Clause IV. of the Act above referred to. j If any person can show cause why such ap- ■ plication as aforesaid should not be granted, • the same mußt be made known to the Waste J Lands Board before Thursday, the 7th day of • April, 1870. IT is hereby notified fo? public information that the Township of Gisborne, situate at Turanganui, Poverty Bay, on land purchased by the Government for that purpose from the natives will be SOLD by AUCTION at the Crown Lands Office, Napier, on the 13th day of APRIL, 1870. Also, on the same day after the completion of sale of the town, a number of Suburban Sections situate in the immediate neighbourhood of the township, varying in size from one acre to ten and a half acres, will be offered for sale. A schedule of the town and suburban sections to be submitted for sale will be hereafter published.
