The ss Maori, Captain James Malcolm, arrived in harbor at 7 40 a m yesterday morning from Dunedin via intermediate ports. She left Port Chalmers at 620 a m on the 23rd met; arrived at Oamaru at 1030 am ; left at 12 35 pm ; arrived at Timaru at 645 pm same day ; left again at 1140 am on the 24th; arrived at Akaroa at 915 p m same day ; left Akaroa at 3 35 a m on the 25th, and arrived in Lyttelton as above, having experienced strong S E breezes and heavy sea during the passage. The Maori sails this day for Dunedin via intermediate ports at 3 p m. The schooner Aspasia, Captain Turner, cleared the Customs yesterday for Dunedin with a cargo of N Z produce, and was to sail last night.

McMeckan, Blackwood and Co's a a Tararua, Captain Hagley, arrived in harbor at S 50 a m yesterday from Melbourne via Bluff and Dunedin. She sailed from Hobson's Bay at 3pm on the 16th; cleared the Heads at 6 pm, and passed Swan Island the following day at 2pm; experienced fine weather for the first part, and strong westerly breezes for the remainder of the passage. TheSolander was passed at 6 a m on the 21st, and Bluff wharf was reached at 1135 amj discharged cargo, and left at 5 p m j arrived at Port Chalmers at 530 a m on Monday ; landed mails and passengers; discharged and took in cargo, and left again at 415 pm on Wednesday the 24th, having experienced fine weather till arrival in Lyttelton as above.
