ARRIVAL OF THE SHIP ZEALANDIA.

The fine new ship Zealandia, llls tons. Capt Rose, commander, arrived in harbour on Saturday night from London. She was signalled as being outside the Heads at 7 pm, and arrived at her anchorage opposite the town at 11 pm. The ss Gazelle was chartered by the agents to proceed to the ship, and left port at 9 p m, having on board the Health officers, Customs' officers, ship's agent, and several visitors, and arrived alongside the ship as she was entering the heads with a fine fair wind. Three hearty cheers were given and received upon going alongside, and all being reported well, she was boarded immediately, all being anxious to see Captain Rose's fine new ship. We notice that many old colonists have returned to Canterbury by her, and she has a full compliment of first and second cabin passengers. The ship appears to be deep in the water, with very lofty tapering spare, and has a fine clipper looking appearance. Everything is in first-class order. She has a handsome saloon and fine accommodation for second cabin passengers The Zealandia has made the passage in 84 days from port to port, but 77 diys from land to land. There was no sickness on the passage. Our old friend Mr Howes and Mr McQ.uade are respectively chief officer and purser of the vessel.
